The Red Hat typeface is a superfamily of Display, Text, and Mono styles—each available in a full range of weights with both roman and italic variants. Originally commissioned by Paula Scher and designed by Jeremy Mickel / MCKL, the fonts were created as part of Red Hat’s identity redesign.
A fresh take on the geometric sans genre, Red Hat draws inspiration from classic American sans serifs like Tempo and Highway Gothic.

As part of Red Hat’s commitment to open source, the entire typeface is distributed under the SIL Open Font License.
