Electronic Arts is one of the world’s leading gaming companies, known for blockbuster franchises like The Sims and EA Sports. The original EA branding was built on three foundational geometric shapes: the cube, sphere, and pyramid.

MCKL collaborated with Skylight Collective and EA to create a new logo and custom typeface family that honors this legacy while modernizing the brand’s visual identity. Inspired by EA’s foundational shapes, we designed display fonts with strong geometric proportions, tight spacing, and sharp apexes, giving the brand a bold and dynamic voice. For improved readability, the text fonts feature generous spacing and softened edges, ensuring optimal performance at smaller sizes. We also developed a monospaced variant to enhance the system’s versatility.

This unified typographic approach bridges EA’s heritage with a contemporary vision, creating a cohesive identity across both digital and physical platforms.
