Trial Fonts Overview

MCKL offers a free license to install and try our trial fonts. Trial fonts have a limited character set and no special features.

With this license you can use the trial fonts for testing and for non-commercial work: comps, mock-ups, internal presentations, client pitches and school projects. You cannot use them in anything published or sold, distribute them, or make a logo with them. Those uses require a full license, which you can buy at any time at mckltype.com. If you need a kind of license that is not listed, please get in touch.

We accept no liability for any use under the trial license. By downloading and installing the trial fonts, you accept the terms below.

Please enjoy them, and respect that fonts are intellectual property that takes a long time to make.

Trial Fonts EULA

Effective as of October 12, 2026

This “Free Trial” End User License Agreement (this “Agreement”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between MCKL, Inc. (together with its successors and assigns, “Licensor”) and the person or organization that downloads the trial fonts (the “Licensee”). This Agreement, together with the General Terms and Conditions, governs the license and use of the trial typeface font computer software program(s), together with any related documentation, updates, and permitted copies thereof (the “Font Software”).

LICENSEE’S ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF THE FONT SOFTWARE CONSTITUTES ITS AGREEMENT TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.

1. License. Subject to the terms and conditions hereof, Licensor hereby grants to Licensee a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-assignable, non-sublicensable right and license to install the Font Software and use it solely to evaluate it and to prepare non-commercial work, namely comps, mock-ups, internal presentations, client pitches, and student projects (the “License”). Licensee may not use the Font Software in any manner other than as expressly set forth herein. Licensee does not acquire any ownership interest in or to the Font Software. Licensor reserves and shall retain its entire right, title, and interest in and to the Font Software, including all copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights therein or relating thereto. All rights not expressly granted are expressly retained by Licensor.

2. License Fee. The License is free.

3. Term and Termination. In place of Section 3 of the General Terms: Licensor may terminate this Agreement at any time, for any reason, upon notice to Licensee, and this Agreement terminates immediately and automatically, without notice, if Licensee violates any of its terms. On termination, Licensee must immediately stop using the Font Software and delete all copies.

4. Limited Embedding. Licensee may embed the Font Software in documents and files that are shared only within Licensee’s organization or with a prospective client for the purpose of a pitch, and that are not published or otherwise made available to the general public. All other embedding of the Font Software is prohibited.

5. Uses That Need a Full License. In addition to the restrictions in Section 1 of the General Terms, the License does not permit Licensee to use the Font Software:

  1. in any work that is published, sold, broadcast, or otherwise released to the public, in print or in any digital form;
  2. as a webfont, or in any application, game, hardware, or electronic display;
  3. in a logo, wordmark, or design mark;
  4. on a server, or on an online design platform shared with others.
